LTC has 10 years of data — the deepest history of any asset we added. Every MACD+ADX configuration has negative Sharpe. LTC parabolic bull runs (2017: +6,175%) are impossible to capture with trend-following. We use plain MACD with no ADX filter as the least-bad option. The strategy protects in bear markets (2018, 2022) and chop, but will consistently miss explosive rallies. Not a trading edge — a systematic exit plan for LTC holders.
