July 27 – August 2, 2026

A person watching rain with coffee and a book; BTC, ETH and SOL all cooled to bearish daily states

Quick Pulse

• Past 7 days: BTC $63,499 (−0.3%)  •  ETH $1,883 (−0.4%)  •  SOL $73.54 (−0.8%)

• All three lead assets are now bearish on the daily: BTC flipped July 27, ETH July 29, SOL back on July 12.

• Top story: spot Bitcoin ETFs pulled in just $205M in July, the smallest monthly haul on record.

The Signal

Last week, BTC and ETH were still the good news: both holding bullish daily states while SOL sat quietly bearish. That changed fast. BTC's daily MACD crossed bearish on July 27, ETH's followed on July 29, and with SOL bearish since July 12, all three assets we lead with are now pointing the same way at the same time.

ETH's June 29 bullish signal just closed out a full month. The price climbed from $1,610 to $1,908, about 18%, before the state flipped. The indicator didn't call a top; it rode the trend up and stepped off when momentum faded.

ETH daily chart: bullish cross June 29 at $1,610, bearish cross July 29 at $1,908, now $1,883

Our read isn't the only one cooling. Spot Bitcoin ETFs took in just $205 million across all of July, their weakest month since launching in early 2024. Institutional demand is catching its breath at the same time our momentum gauge is.

Here's the part worth sitting with. Prices barely moved this week: BTC, ETH and SOL all finished within 1% of where they started. A bearish daily state isn't a crash, it's the indicator saying the push has stalled, not that the floor is gone.

The signals don't all agree either. ETH's own ETFs kept taking in money even as its daily rolled over, because the indicator reads price, not flows.

What We're Watching

ETH's shorter 4-hour chart flipped bullish again this weekend even as its daily stayed bearish. When the timeframes disagree like this, it usually means a bounce inside a cooler trend. We're watching whether the daily follows the 4-hour back up, or the bounce fades into it.

Sentiment stays cautious: the Fear & Greed index sits around 28, firmly in fear, even with prices holding steady. When fear and flat prices sit together like this, the next real move tends to be the one that breaks the tension. We have no opinion on which way.
