Quick Pulse

• Past 7 days: BTC $64,682 (+3.9%)  •  ETH $1,871 (+5.4%)  •  SOL $76.33 (+1.9%)

• One daily crossover since our July 10 issue: SOL flipped bearish on July 12. BTC and ETH held their bullish states.

• Top story: spot Bitcoin ETFs ended an eight-week outflow streak with $197M of net inflows.

The Signal

Last issue we pointed at SOL's thin cushion: the smallest gap between MACD and signal line of the three majors. We said another red stretch would likely send it across, and called that geometry, not a forecast. Two days later the geometry finished the job.

On July 12, SOL's daily MACD crossed bearish at $76.88. It's the only daily signal since our last issue, and it broke the three-way bullish alignment the majors had carried since mid-June. BTC and ETH didn't follow; both spent the week grinding higher inside the bullish states they've held since July 1 and June 29.

SOL daily closes, past three weeks: bearish cross July 12 at $76.88, latest close $76.33 after a sideways drift

A week on, the cross looks more like a stall than a slide. SOL sits almost exactly where it crossed. Meanwhile the backdrop improved: spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $197M last week, their first net-positive week after eight straight weeks of outflows, the longest bleed since the funds launched.

So the honest picture is a split one. Two majors bullish, one freshly bearish, and a flow story that finally stopped getting worse. Next week's data gets a vote.

What We're Watching

SOL's re-cross. Its MACD and signal lines are still sitting close together, so it wouldn't take much to flip the state back. A quick reversal would make July 12 a whipsaw; a widening gap would confirm the momentum loss. Either answer is useful.

ETH's run. It's up 16% since its June 29 cross, the strongest of the three majors. We're watching whether that momentum keeps building or starts to roll over.
